Maintenance Reliability Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Reliability Engineer to lead reliability and asset performance initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who is passionate about improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and implementing world-class maintenance and reliability practices. The role is responsible for improving the reliability, availability, maintainability, and lifecycle performance of plant assets, leading RCM, RCFA, predictive maintenance, PM optimization, spare parts strategies, and continuous improvement.Must pass drug test and respirator fit test prior to hire. Primary Responsibilities

  • Improve reliability of Siwertell ship unloader, IBAU screw pumps, bucket elevators, conveyors, air slides, rotary valves, diverter gates, dust collectors, silos, loading systems, rail terminal equipment, compressors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, MCCs, VFDs, fans and blowers

  • Lead RCM, FMEA, equipment criticality, PM optimization, predictive maintenance and failure elimination

  • Conduct RCFA investigations and produce corrective action reports

  • Optimize CMMS, asset hierarchy, failure coding, KPIs and work history

  • Develop SOPs, lubrication standards, inspection procedures and precision maintenance practices

  • Manage critical spare parts, BOMs and inventory strategies

  • Support vendors, OEMs and capital improvement projects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Reliability Engineering (or equivalent experience)

  • 5–10 years in heavy industrial maintenance/reliability

  • Experience with bulk material handling, cement, mining, ports or manufacturing preferred

  • Preferred certifications: CMRP, CRE, Vibration Analysis, Infrared Thermography, Machinery Lubrication Technician (MLT), Lean Six Sigma

  • Key Performance Indicators: Equipment Availability, OEE, MTBF, MTTR, Unplanned Downtime, PM Compliance, PdM Compliance, Spare Parts Optimization, Maintenance Cost per Ton, Repeat Failures, Schedule Compliance

  • Leadership Expectations: drive proactive maintenance, mentor technicians, partner with operations, use data to improve reliability, and develop long-term asset management strategies
