General Labor
A hands-on, outdoor industrial role involving preparing rail cars, operating loading equipment, and maintaining accurate documentation. No prior rail yard experience required — we train individuals with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. Works closely with the Rail Terminal team to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant loading of materials. Weekend availability required.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform daily yard activities, including counting rail cars and identifying their locations
Prepare rail cars for loading per operational procedures
Operate and monitor loading equipment to fill rail cars with cement per specifications
Inspect rail cars for cleanliness, safety compliance, and loading readiness
Secure rail cars after loading, including sealing, labeling, and documentation
Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE
Conduct routine equipment checks and report issues promptly
Maintain accurate loading records and shipment details
Keep work areas clean through regular housekeeping duties
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Availability for rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks. Work Location: In person.
Additional Qualifications
Experience in industrial labor, material handling, or equipment operation preferred but not required.
Why Apply
Pay: $18–$19/hour
Schedule: Rotating shifts (2–3 weeks on 1st, then 2–3 weeks on 2nd) | Weekends required
