Provides instruction and facilitates learning experiences for out-of-school youth (ages 18 and over) and adult learners. Programs may include English as a Second Language (ESL), English as a New Language (ENL), Vocational English as a Second or Other Language (VESOL) and skill development courses related to individual self-sufficiency or workforce preparation. This position requires an interest in, and commitment to, working in a non-traditional instructional program where high quality is a standard.

Responsibilities
Instruction performed on approved curriculum and instructional system.
Conducts intake procedures, including academic assessment, and student intake forms.
Meets and teaches classes by the established instructional system, methodology, schedule, procedures, and curriculum.
Maintains accurate and complete student files and related records as required.
Participates with other staff members in curriculum planning during designated meetings.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in education (preferred but not required) (a minimum of high school or equivalent diploma required).

Bilingual English-Spanish (preferred but not required)
The candidate will need to complete an internal teaching certification.
Experience teaching out-of-school youth or adult learners (preferred but not required)
Familiarity with Learning Standards, Adult Education NRS Levels, and Adult Education Learning Theory.
Ability to teach learners English as a new language (all levels)
Knowledge of computer applications and educational technology as related to instruction
